FUNDRAISING RESOURCES

Hey Solos!

We couldn’t be more thrilled to host our second annual SoloCon event in Nashville, TN, July 18-20. We know the reality for many single parents is that finances are tight and getting to Nashville this summer might not be possible on your own. That’s why we’ve put together a fundraising packet to help empower you to reach out to people in your community to make this trip happen. Included in this packet we have provided a support letter template that you can make your own and social media image templates with suggested verbiage. We hope to make this super easy for you to help you get to SoloCon. We want you there, because there’s nothing like being with other single parents who understand your journey!

Below are some ways you and your kids can garner support. Some of these suggestions may seem obvious, but we hope they get you excited about investing in your own journey as you actively build community for you and your kids and pour into your healing and growth.

Aside from some of the things we have provided here, remember you can be creative and have fun while doing it! Raise support by hosting a yard sale or a bake sale, and maybe even ask if others will donate items for you to sell. If you have time, utilize skills you already have and offer them to other families—babysitting, cooking, cleaning, etc. For a fun neighborhood event, host a family movie night with snacks and charge $10 per person. Remember to get your kids involved and make it a family affair! It will only make the trip that much more exciting!

Of course you can always reach out to family, friends and neighbors to donate. As you’re collecting donations, we highly suggest using Venmo, CashApp, Zelle or PayPal. Using platforms like GoFundMe will result in you having to pay fees, and no one wants that! We’re here to support and help you in any way we can. If you have questions about anything at all, feel free to reach out!

Just email us at [email protected].

Can’t wait to see you this summer!
